- Awarded a
2007 Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Prize of $7,500.
- Awarded Washington State Artist Trust GAP Grant in 2007.
- Poem, "Wonder Woman Dreams of the Amazon," nominated for a
Pushcart Prize.
- Two poems from Becoming the Villainess,
"Persephone and the Prince Meet Over Drinks" and "Becoming the
Villainess," appeared in The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror,
2007.
- Poetry manuscript, A Thousand Tongues, was a semi-finalist
in the Bakeless Literary Prize first book contest and a finalist
in the Winnow Press first book contest,
the Carnegie Mellon University Press Poetry Series, and for
Kent State's Wick Prize in Poetry.
